as much you like the old L4D crew, you gotta admit… these guys are a weird group… but that’s what makes their friendships which each other interesting.
To be perfectly frank, unlike with the first game I love all four of these equally. Fuck the hate on Rochelle, I loved that trailer of ‘The Passing’. I think she’s a much deeper character than is let on, and to be frank I like her a lot more than Zoey. Don’t get me wrong though, all the characters (from both games) have their individual appeal, but when it comes to these four, who am I to pick a favorite?
Besides, with the second game they explore the characters more by making them relate to each other - friendships, heck even relationships (albeit distantly) are explored and lampshaded, and mixed with their individual personalities they make for a really strong bunch and it just puts the icing on the cake that is the game itself. Valve has always done a great job on characterization, even in places where it didn’t even matter. <3
